Job  Summary: 

We  are  seeking  a  Technical  Project  Manager  （TPM）  with  a  passion  for  music,  technology,  and  audio  experiences,  to  join  our  team  in  China.  This  role  is  ideal  for  a  team  player  who  excels  in  problem-solving,  enjoys  effective  communication  and  collaborative  work  with  partners,  and  has  a  proven  track  record  in  helping  to  bring  new  audio  products  to  market.  The  TPM  will  be  instrumental  in  overseeing  the  development  of  amplifier  and  audio  electronics  products  after  receiving  the  Product  Requirements  Document  （PRD）,  focusing  on  working  closely  with  Contract  Manufacturers  （CMs）  to  ensure  projects  are  completed  on  time,  within  budget,  and  with  high  quality  meeting  the  requirements  of  the  PRD. 

Key  Responsibilities: 

Lead  New  Product  Development  of  Sonance  electronics  products,  with  a  focus  on  DSP,  streaming,  and  overall  system  design  and  implementation.  Drive  the  cross  functional  team  through  the  whole  NPD  from  receipt  of  PRD  to  successful  product  launch. 
Collaborate  with  internal  teams  and  external  partners,  particularly  US-based  Product  Managers  and  Engineering  and  Asia-based  suppliers  and  contract  manufacturers,  to  eｘecute  projects  in  Asia  on  time,  within  budget  and  within  required  quality  performance  and  expectations. 
Define  project  scope  and  deliverables  that  support  the  business  goals.  Create  and  maintain  project  plans.   
Facilitate  regular  NPD  project  meetings  with  internal  development  and  external  Contract  Manufacturers  team  to  review  project  status  and  next  steps,  identify  key  issues,  and  address  bottlenecks  to  ensure  timely  resolution.   
Effectively  communicate  relevant  project  information  to  the  project  and  management  team. 
Responsible  for  New  Product  Development  process  assessment,  identify  the  critical  points,  assess  and  manage  potential  project  risks  and  implement  mitigation  plans  in  place  to  limit  exposure. 
Work  with  internal  teams  and  external  partners  for  process  improvement  to  improve  NPD  efficiency  as  well  as  product  quality. 
Create  weekly  project  report,  communicating  and  maintaining  project  schedules,  progress  and  proposals,  meeting  expected  deliverables,  setting  stakeholder  and  leadership  expectations. 
Create  documentation  with  the  US  based  team  to  develop  new  product  functional  evaluation  tests,  review  processes  along  with  external  partners. 
Work  with  Contract  Manufacturers  to  problem  solve  during  the  development  process  and  provide  positive  support  from  manufacturing  process  points  of  view. 
Support  NPD  builds  on  site,  participate  on  production  line  to  solve  critical  build  issues  to  prevent  line  stopping  risks  during  each  of  the  development  build  including  1st  mass  production. 
Work  with  Contract  Manufacturers  to  solve  technical  problems  during  development  phases. 
Work  with  Contract  Manufacturers  and  US  based  team  to  develop  quality  inspection  process  and  ensure  it  is  eｘecuted  at  a  high  level. 
Work  with  Contract  Manufacturers  to  resolve  any  product  issues  and  implement  engineering  changes. 
 
Requirements: 

10+  years  of  experience  in  the  audio  industry,  ideally  developing  hardware  or  performing  test  &  validation. 
Familiarity  or  experience  with  embedded  software  development. 
5+  years  of  experience  working  with  European  or  North  American  companies. 
Proficiency  in  issue-tracking  and  project  management  software  （e.g.,  Jira,  Confluence）. 
Strong  understanding  of  audio  electronics  specifications  and  their  impact  on  customer  experiences. 
Ability  to  work  across  multiple  time  zones. 
Excellent  communication  skills  （both  verbal  and  written）. 
Proficiency  in  English. 
Located  near  Nanjing,  China. 
Must  have  a  car  and  be  able  to  travel. 
Must  be  able  to  travel  to  the  United  States. 
Ability  to  travel  20%  of  the  time  to  visit  development  partners  and  contract  manufacturers. 
 
Desired  Knowledge,  Skills,  &  Abilities: 

Bachelor’s  degree  or  above  in  Electrical  Engineering,  Electronics,  Audio,  Physics,  or  a  related  field. 
Experience  with  test  automation  development  and  digital/mixed-signal  circuitry  design. 
Experience  in  amplifier  hardware  development  and  manufacturing  to  include  amplifier  modules,  power  supplies,  input  and  output  circuitry. 
Networking  experience,  including  network  configuration  and  troubleshooting. 
Embedded  software  design,  testing,  and  debugging  skills. 
Experience  developing,  configuring,  and  using  streaming  audio  products. 
Familiar  with  electronics  product  development.  Strong  project  knowledge  and  experience  in  electronics  component  manufacturing  process   
Great  presentation,  communication  and  leadership  skills.  Ability  to  work  well  with  cross  functional  teams,  ability  to  work  independently  without  local  supervision.
